Richard Amacker's conferences
Richard Amacker, born in Nendaz, has spent a lot of time on skis since his first tentative steps on the slopes at the age of just two; at the age of eight he came second in the giant slalom during the Swiss championships.
Following that, he spent five years on the FIS circuit and, at age nineteen, having obtained his plasterer’s professional certificate, decided to give himself a new challenge: Freeriding
He obtained some excellent results in the World Freerider Qualifiers: five medals in various competitions between 2010 and 2011. In addition he won one competition in the Freeride World Tour, in Courmayeur in 2012.
In parallel with all this, Richard developed his skills and obtained the federal qualification as snow sports monitor. Since 2016, he has been training the next generation of Swiss skiers, is a mentor for ISTA (International Snow Training Academy) and is a member of the Education Pool Swiss SnowSport.
Between 2012 and 2016, he produced or featured in five films, including ‘Perseverance’ which came out in 2016.
